An overlapping roadmap

1. ‘Transforming our World: the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development’= 17 SDGs with their associated 169 targets.

2. Interconnected goals:

• all the goals are interdependent ; complementary. aligns with our FYPs.

• climate change, the 13th SDG, will be governed as per United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) Treaty.

• ISSUES IN ACHIEVEING THE GOALS : paucity of funds, difficulties of data availability and poor capacity at various levels.

1. SDGs and climate change:

• poverty increases vulnerability to climate change.

• improving resilience to global warming : HOW > BY making our cities sustainable, setting up better sanitation facilities, system-wide energy efficiency, reducing consumption, making drinking water and energy services accessible to all.

• CC is hard to predict in India. Why ? because of monsoon variability.
